FAQ

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

I keep things very light during an engagement session. I focus on finding the best light and compositions while keeping us moving. My goal is to have photos that look like your relationship. If you're a silly couple with lots of laughing, I want that to come through in the session! If you're a little bit more on the passionate and serious, your photos will feel like that too. I will intimately know the location where we will be and we will walk to different spots that have the best opportunities for photography.

WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 2 weeks of our session. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share a link to the gallery, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

Entirely depends on the light and the location! If it's a clear day, and we are meeting at the beach, sunset is the best time. A park with lots of tree cover, 40 minutes before sunset will probably be best. A cloudy day anywhere? Afternoons are perfect! If you have a location, I can help with finding the best time for the weather and sunlight.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

Typically around 50-200. It entirely depends on the location, outfits, and how long you want the session to be. A session at the beach right at sunset will typically yield around 50 photos, whereas a session with multiple outfits at a large park/arboretum/zoo could generate hundreds.

WHAT IF WE WANT FILM PHOTOGRAPHY?

I also shoot on film! I have multiple film cameras with lenses to photograph an entire session on film. When shooting with film, I find the best approach is hybrid film and digital where most of the photos are taken with digital, with every "scene" having a few photos on film.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Southern California and I love to travel! Photography outside of California will require a travel fee, depending where we decide.
